Translator(s) for model railway control program wanted
Inviato: martedì 30 dicembre 2008, 17:25
Hi all,
I am looking for one or more persons, who are willing to help me translate
an opensource software to the Italian language. This software is called
"spdrs60" and located at this internet site:
http://spdrs60.sourceforge.net/
spdrs60 is a graphical SRCP-client to comfortably control a digital model
railroad. Visual appearance and usage comply to the original SpDrS60
switchbox (Spurplandrucktastenstellwerk Bauart Siemens 60) of the
german federal railroad company. spdrs60 needs a SRCP server (e.g.
erddcd or srcpd) as a hardware link. Currently spdrs60 supports English
and German, the later is my mother language.
I am the maintainer of this project and have startet an Italian translation
but due to my restricted knowledge I am not able to complete it. As this
software is running on Linux the potential translator(s) should have (only)
basic Linux knowledges. Any kind of Linux distribution (Debian, Ubuntu,
Fedora, Opensuse, ..) is OK. The translation itself is done with a
comfortable graphical tool (Qt linguist,
http://doc.trolltech.com/3.3/linguist-manual-3.html) and does not require
Linux programming knowledge. I will guide you through the (indeed very
easy) process and give any help ofcourse if necessary.
If there is someone interested on this list, he can contact me via private
e-mail or simply give response to this posting in the forum (in English
please, sorry for this inconvenience). If there were more people
interested, this would be welcome also, because this makes a review of the
achieved translation easier (and may also increase the level of quality).
Kind regards
Guido
